Paw Paw Bob's Recipes
Sauce
- 1 onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 large can tomato paste
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 1 quart water
- 6-8 level teaspoons sugar
Bring to a boil---then simmer 3 low
Meatballs
- 1 1/2 lbs ground meat
- 3 tbsp Italian cheese
- 1 egg
- garlic salt or powder
- black pepper
- Italian croutons or crushed crackers
- 1/2 bottle or box of anise seed
- minced onions (optional)
- bell pepper (optional)
Fry meatballs in olive oil and Wesson oil. Brown well then place in sauce for 1 1/2 hours.
Garlic, black pepper, sugar, anise seed, Italian cheese (Romano or Parmesan) used. May vary widely according to your taste. These meatballs can be used also for Cavatelli Supreme.
A tablespoon of parmesan cheese a few minutes before sauce is ready is delicious.
- 2 cans whole tomatoes
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 2 cans tomato paste
- 2 jars sliced mushrooms
- 1 jar pimentos
- 2 medium bell peppers and sliced
- 1 large onion coarsely sliced
- 25 pepperoni slices
- 25 fried meatballs
- garlic or garlic powder to taste
- parsley or flakes to taste
- dash of oregano
- dash of cumin
- dash of hot sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 quart of water
Meatballs
Use recipe for meatballs on proceeding recipe. Cook everything together. Pour sauce over cooked cavatelli.

- Mushrooms
- Toasted Walnuts
- 2 pods garlic
- parsley or cilantro
- olive oil
- ground parmesan cheese
- 6 or 8 dates- for sweetness (optional)
Grind all together and stir in parmesan cheese and olive oil to make a thick paste and spread on Italian or French bread or garlic bread.
Instead of parsley or cilantro use spinach.
